Capital
How we think about capital
Capital should strengthen the work.
Capital gives an organization more room to build, but more resources do not automatically produce better work. For Vorscorp, the question is what additional capital would allow the organization to do that it cannot reasonably do with the resources already available.
The organization is currently funded independently, with resources directed toward product development, research, and the foundations required to operate. That allows Vorscorp to develop its work without making external funding the measure of progress.
Over time, there may be good reasons to bring in outside capital. Product development may require greater technical capacity. Research may require more sustained investment. New opportunities may require infrastructure, people, or expertise that the organization cannot efficiently develop on its own.
Those decisions should follow the work rather than lead it. Capital should expand capability, improve execution, and open opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach. It should not create pressure to pursue growth simply because resources are available.
Vorscorp is therefore interested in capital that understands the time involved in building useful technology and developing an organization around it. The right capital should give the work more room to develop while preserving the independence, discipline, and long-term view that shaped it in the first place.
