Strategy

Stop Using AI Like a Yes Man

Why an assistant that agrees with everything is the least useful voice in the room, and how to ask it for the disagreement instead.

[Sample text] This is placeholder copy that stands in for a finished strategy piece. It shows how an argument reads on this site, with a lead, sections, a list and a quotation, in a single reading column.

A strategy piece usually opens by stating its claim plainly, then spends the rest of its length defending it. This paragraph plays that part, with emphasis and strong text to show the type, and a link to show how links look inside a sentence.

The claim

Sample text for the first section. Short sections with clear headings let a reader find the part of the argument they came for without reading from the top.

What to do instead

  • Ask for the strongest objection before asking for approval.
  • Compare two options, not one.
  • Keep the reasons, not only the answer.
Placeholder quotation. Real pull quotes are set apart from the body in the same way.

Where this applies

Sample text under a smaller heading, so the page shows both levels. None of this wording is part of a real publication.

A closing paragraph follows the rule, as a summary of the position or a note on what comes next.
