Reading a System Diagram Before You Build It
A short guide to what a system diagram can tell you, and what it quietly leaves out.

[Sample text] This is placeholder copy that stands in for a finished technology piece. It describes no real system; it only shows how a technical article reads here.
A technical piece often starts from a picture and works outward. This paragraph shows the body type at reading size, with emphasis, strong text and a link in a sentence.
What the boxes and lines mean
Sample text for a first section. A reader should be able to tell from the heading what the section will cover before reading it.
What to ask of any diagram
- One line of sample text posed as a question.
- A second line, kept short.
- A third line.
Placeholder quotation, set apart from the body to show how a cited line appears.
A note on method
Sample text under a smaller heading. A real publication would replace all of this wording.
A closing paragraph after the rule, where a technical piece might note what it leaves out.
